Dayla Spencer


Dayla D. Spencer (b. 2005) is a composer, arranger, and trombonist from Nashville, TN. Her original pieces have been performed by ensembles including the University of North Carolina-Greensboro TubaBand, the Angel Quartet, and the University of Oklahoma Trombone Choir. Her works have been invited to be performed at various conferences and festivals from around the country including the International Trombone Festival and SERTEC.

She is an Interlochen Arts alum (IAC Composition, ‘23), where she was recognized as a Fromm Foundation Fellow and recieved a full scholarship. She was also selected to participate in the 2024 Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival's Emerging Composers Program, hosted at the Juilliard School.

Spencer currently majors in Music Theory & Composition at Montclair State University, where she studies privately with composer Patrick J. Burns.

So far they love it. Haven’t gotten feedback from all yet.
